Dickson said the sole motivation of such unscrupulous characters was to destabilise and subvert his administration’s achievements. The governor, who spoke at a media chat in Yenagoa, advised politicians not to overheat the polity with their campaigns, insisting that people should be free to campaign for and vote candidates of their choice. According to the Commissioner, the Treasury Department has commenced the process of carrying out the Governor’s directive with a view to ensuring that the workers get their salaries and allowances before Christmas. ...Civil Servants Who Resigned Reinstated Published  Pat PA Okon The Governor of Bayelsa State, the Honourable Henry Seriake Dickson, has reinstated the positions of all political appointees, who resigned their positions to contest the primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party and lost. The Governor also reinstated all civil servants, who resigned to contest in the primaries to their former positions in the civil service. The Special Adviser to the Governor on Media Relations, Mr. Fidelis Soriwei, quoted the governor as having made the proclamation during a meeting with all aspirants of the PDP in Yenagoa on Saturday. Governor Dickson also directed the payment of the salaries and other allowances of the aspirants lost during the period to them.
