PDP Governors' Forum felicitates Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal @57

The Peoples Democratic Party Governors’ Forum (PDP-GF) felicitates its pragmatic Chairman and Governor of Sokoto State, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, CFR, as he marks his 57th birthday anniversary today, January 10, 2023.

2.  The Forum joins his family, friends and the entire people of Sokoto State on this special day to show gratitude to the Almighty God for His love and care, guidance and protection.

3.  As the Governor of Sokoto State, he has exhibited exemplary and visionary leadership by championing the strengthening of the security infrastructure in both the state and the entire Northwest region, thereby creating a conducive atmosphere for substantive development. 

4.  Gov. Tambuwal's transformation of Sokoto State, especially in the areas of Education/ICT, Health, Agriculture and agro based processing, Commerce and Trade Promotion has upped "Ease of Doing Business", Housing and massive Roads infrastructure.

5.   In addition, he has spearheaded rural development through Electrification, Water supply, Youth and Women Empowerment, and MSME funding to reduce poverty and unemployment.

6. The Forum is happy to note other visible legacy achievements of Governor Tambuwal in Power and Industrialisation,  establishment of an industrial hub, as well as the development of the sports sector with the 11,000 targeted capacity stadium which is creating job opportunities and developing talents, respectively.

7.  The Forum also  acknowledges his magnanimous contributions to the growth of our Party, the Forum and the nation. We equally congratulate him on assumption of the leadership of the Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF) as Chairman, aside his current assignment as the Director General of the PDP Presidential Campaign Council ahead next month's General Elections, a task he is  delivering with so much gusto, purpose and commitment.

8.  We pray that the Almighty God continues to grant him foresight and wisdom in his service to both the state and nation.

Governor Mutfwang Receives Nigerian First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu's Generous Donation Of 500 Million Naira To Plateau Crisis Victims

Nigeria's First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has donated N500 million to families affected by violent attacks in Plateau States.  The N500 million will be disbursed under the Renewed Hope Initiative and Social Investment Programme, with One Million Naira allocated to each of the 500 affected families. Announcing the donation at the New Banquet Hall of the Government House, Little Rayfield, the First Lady said that government is concerned about their plight.  Senator Oluremi Tinubu expressed her deep concern for the victims, stating that the news of the deteriorating security situation in Mangu Local Government Area on May 15, 2023, had deeply saddened her.  She acknowledged the devastation and despair faced by the affected communities, with destroyed homes and disrupted sources of livelihood.
