Obaseki Hails Super Falcons for 3-2 Triumph over Australia

The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has congratulated Nigeria’s national women football team, Super Falcons, for the 3-2 victory over co-hosts, Australia in the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup.

The Governor, in a statement, said: “It was a nerve-wracking end to an intriguing encounter, but our amazing Super Falcons emerged victorious! Congratulations to our girls for earning a hard-fought three points against the Australian Matildas, who were the bookies’ favorite for the match."

“We are proud of our girls and will be rooting for them as they go for another victory in their next game against Ireland, and secure a place in the knockout phases of the Women's World Cup.”

Goals from Uchenna Kanu, Osinachi Ohale, and Asisat Oshoala secured the win for Super Falcons at Suncorp Stadium.

Governor Mutfwang Receives Nigerian First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu's Generous Donation Of 500 Million Naira To Plateau Crisis Victims

Nigeria's First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has donated N500 million to families affected by violent attacks in Plateau States.  The N500 million will be disbursed under the Renewed Hope Initiative and Social Investment Programme, with One Million Naira allocated to each of the 500 affected families.
