PDP Governors' Forum Salutes Governor Godwin O. Obaseki @ 66

The Peoples Democratic Party Governors’ Forum (PDP-GF) under the Chairmanship of H.E. Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohamed CON, the Governor of Bauchi State and other PDP Governors felicitate with His Excellency Godwin O. Obaseki, Governor of Edo State, as he turns 66 years today (July 1, 2023)



2.  The Forum joins the entire citizens of Edo State, in thanking God for His kindness and protection on his life and family these years.

3. We are happy to associate with the many successes of Governor Obaseki in Edo state, especially his innovative transformation of the State into a major technology  driven entity in the country.

4. Under Governor Obaseki several cost effective technologies have been deployed into government business in Edo State.

5. Governor Obaseki has been a leading advocate for using technology to  digitally empower youths of Edo State and beyond through the establishment of digital hubs in the State.

6.  As the Governor of Edo State in the past seven years, he has re-engineered agriculture at the grassroots,  health through e - services and ambulance services, education through massive renovation of infrastructure and has completely changed the face of sports in the State.

7.  Governor Obaseki has also re-engineered economic growth in the state through strategic planning and fiscal prudence and improved Ease of Doing Business initiatives.

8. In power generation and distribution, Governor Obaseki has been superb on the Osisioma Independent Power Project.

9. He has also been outstanding on the Edo Refinery & Petrochemical Company (ERPC) Ltd and Duport Energy Park modular refineries. Through the projects and more his administration has created several  employment spaces for citizens of the state and increased its Internally Generated Revenue, IGR.

10.  The PDP - GF on the occasion  of this celebration acknowledges Governor Obaseki's contributions to the growth of the PDP and the Forum in particular.

11.  We pray that God Almighty will continue to bless him and his family as well as bestow him with the wisdom to finish all his plans for the State before the expiration of his tenure.

12.  Once again, we wish Governor Obaseki a happy birthday anniversary and pledge our brotherly cooperation and unalloyed support at all times.

Governor Mutfwang Receives Nigerian First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu's Generous Donation Of 500 Million Naira To Plateau Crisis Victims

Nigeria's First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has donated N500 million to families affected by violent attacks in Plateau States.  The N500 million will be disbursed under the Renewed Hope Initiative and Social Investment Programme, with One Million Naira allocated to each of the 500 affected families. Announcing the donation at the New Banquet Hall of the Government House, Little Rayfield, the First Lady said that government is concerned about their plight.  Senator Oluremi Tinubu expressed her deep concern for the victims, stating that the news of the deteriorating security situation in Mangu Local Government Area on May 15, 2023, had deeply saddened her.  She acknowledged the devastation and despair faced by the affected communities, with destroyed homes and disrupted sources of livelihood.
