Governor Fintiri, Atiku Receive Former SSG, Thimno, as Calculate, Others Defect to PDP

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri Saturday, 4th September, 2021, alongside the former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar (Wazirin Adamawa), received the former SSG during ex-Gov. Admiral Murtala Nyako's (Rtd) administration, Mr. Kobis Ari Thimno, who defected to the People's Democratic Party (PDP) along with Umar Bello, Calculate, Commodore Sali Bodes, Daniel Bwala, apace with thousands of their supporters, in Mahmud Ribadu Square. 

Receiving the defectors, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri welcomed them into the PDP family and assured them a level playing ground while calling on the party leaders and supporters to embrace them without segregation. 

The Governor reassured them that his administration will not relent in its duty of taking Adamawa State to its unexpected height, for the present and yet unborn generations will have much to be proud of at their time. 

He called on the people of Adamawa to continue to be united so as  to pave a way for development to strive in the State and pleaded with them to support the former Vice President and Wazirin Adamawa in his political ambition as a proud son of the soil.

Speaking at the event, former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar (Waziri Adamawa), expressed happiness that prominent politicians are returning to where they belong, that is PDP, and called on others to follow suit.


The PDP State Chairman, Barr. A. T. Shehu, assured them that the returnees will be accorded equal rights to perform their duties in the party.


Speaking on behalf of the defectors, former SSG, Mr. Kobis Ari Thimno (Katuka Adamawa) and Alhaji Umaru Bello Jada, pledged their support and loyalty to Governor Fintiri and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
