Bayelsa PDP SEC Members Pass Vote of Confidence on Gov. Diri, Endorse Him for 2nd term

His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State today participated in the State Executive Committee meeting of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) at the party's secretariat in Yenagoa, where members passed a vote of confidence on him to continue as Governor for a second term. 

The motion was raised by Senator Konbowei Friday Benson, Senator representing Bayelsa Central and seconded by Hon. Mitema Obodor representing Ogbia Federal Constituency. 

Governor Diri while making his remark, thanked party members for their commitment and charged them to be strong, bold and courageous ahead of the November 11 guber polls.

"My dear party members, be strong, bold and courageous. We must all stand together going forward to November 11. We are always available in the service of the party, in the service to our people because if we open up our State in terms of development then we will be attracting companies into our State, then our economy will also be affected particularly if we can open up our State to the blue economy which is the Atlantic Ocean," Governor Diri stated

At the meeting, a new State party youth leader, Didi Oyisor,  was affirmed following the expulsion of the former youth leader, Hon. Nunieh Odede, for anti-party activities.

Woyengikuro Daniel, National Financial Secretary of the People's Democratic Party, Prof. Felix Omemu, Zonal Secretary, PDP South-South, Alabh George Turnah, Legal Adviser, PDP South-South, Hon. Ineye Lloyd Owonaro, Zonal Youth Leader, PDP South-South, members of the State Working Committee of the PDP, Rt. Hon. Edwin Monday Obolo, leader of the state House of Assembly and members of the state House of Assembly, Alabo Gideon Ekeuwei, Secretary to the State Government, members of the State Executive Council, leaders and stakeholders of the PDP, other top government officials.

Governor Mutfwang Receives Nigerian First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu's Generous Donation Of 500 Million Naira To Plateau Crisis Victims

Nigeria's First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has donated N500 million to families affected by violent attacks in Plateau States.  The N500 million will be disbursed under the Renewed Hope Initiative and Social Investment Programme, with One Million Naira allocated to each of the 500 affected families.
