Governor Bala Mohammed Welcomes His Victory At Tribunal, Describes Judgement As Affirmation Of Will Of People Against Political Brinksmanship

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has welcomed his victory at the State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal as the winner of the March 18th governorship election held in the state.

In his acceptance speech shortly after the judgment, Governor Mohammed described the judgment as a demonstration of judicial rigour and commonsense and an affirmation of the sovereign will of the people over political brinksmanship and an entitlement mentality.

He commended members of the Governorship Election Tribunal who in spite of the indiscriminate demonization of the country's judicial system, painstakingly and professionally perused the facts, leading to upholding his well-deserved victory.

Governor Mohammed extended his hands of working relationship with his opponents to join him in the collective quest to harness the enormous resources of the state to create a modern economy that would benefit everyone within Bauchi State, and Nigeria in general. 


According to him, now that the tribunal has ruled, it is time to set aside whatever misgivings and move on as the task ahead is enormous, requiring unity of purpose, a polling together of resources, integration of talents and leveraging the unique attributes of each of the contestants to create a better society for the people.

Governor Bala Mohammed said it was  an unambiguous statement that despite the mischief of political merchants who arrogate to themselves kingmaker status and deceive some of his unsuspecting compatriots into believing that they can determine the destiny of others, God still reigns in the affairs of all his creations.

Bala Mohammed therefore assured that his administration will strive at all times, to uphold the oath of office he took to administer the state with fairness, equity and justice and stressed that he is ready to consolidate on the vision and successes of the administration as enshrined in the "his Bauchi Project" developmental blueprint.

The Governor appreciated his legal team, led by the unassuming litigation icon, Chief Chis Uche, SAN, the leadership of the Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) led by the indefatigable state chairman, Alhaji Hamza Kose Akuyam, and all the members who traversed all nooks and crannies of the state for their support throughout the process.

Governor Mutfwang Receives Nigerian First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu's Generous Donation Of 500 Million Naira To Plateau Crisis Victims

Nigeria's First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has donated N500 million to families affected by violent attacks in Plateau States.  The N500 million will be disbursed under the Renewed Hope Initiative and Social Investment Programme, with One Million Naira allocated to each of the 500 affected families.
