Governor Fintiri pledges collaboration with Nigerian Police

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, Tuesday, received in audience the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, at the Government House in Yola.

In his remarks, the Governor appealed to the Inspector General of Police, IGP, out of his magnanimity, to approve a mobile police training college in Mbamba Yola. He also assured the IGP of the necessary support at any time. 

Earlier the IGP commended the Governor for his prompt action in the last attack between the Army and Police.

The IGP disclosed It was a significant event when high-level officials like the Inspector General of Police and the Governor met. 

As the head of the Police Force, the Inspector General plays a crucial role in maintaining law and order, protecting citizens, and ensuring the effective functioning of the Police department. 

Meeting with the Governor suggests discussions on important matters, such as security strategies, coordination between the Police and the State Government, and addressing any concerns or challenges related to law enforcement in the state.
