Gov. Ikpeazu Makes New Appointment


Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, has approved the appointment of Professor Lawrence Nwaneri Chigbu as the new Rector, Abia State College of Health Science and Management Technology Aba.
Prof. Chigbu takes over from the former Rector of the college, Professor Chidi Felix Ezeama whose tenure in office has elapsed.
In a press release signed by the Secretary to the State Government, (SSG), Barrister Chris Ezem and issued to reporters, on Friday, the appointment is effective from the expiry date of the tenure of the former Rector.
The release also stated, “the Governor uses this medium to thank Prof. Felix Ezeama for his positive contributions in the college and wishes him success in his future endeavours”.

Governor Mutfwang Receives Nigerian First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu's Generous Donation Of 500 Million Naira To Plateau Crisis Victims

Nigeria's First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has donated N500 million to families affected by violent attacks in Plateau States.  The N500 million will be disbursed under the Renewed Hope Initiative and Social Investment Programme, with One Million Naira allocated to each of the 500 affected families. Announcing the donation at the New Banquet Hall of the Government House, Little Rayfield, the First Lady said that government is concerned about their plight.  Senator Oluremi Tinubu expressed her deep concern for the victims, stating that the news of the deteriorating security situation in Mangu Local Government Area on May 15, 2023, had deeply saddened her.  She acknowledged the devastation and despair faced by the affected communities, with destroyed homes and disrupted sources of livelihood.
