PDP Governors' Forum Celebrates Gov. Oluseyi Makinde On His 56th Birthday

The Peoples Democratic Party Governors’ Forum (PDP-GF) under the Chairmanship of H.E. Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed  (CON), the Governor of Bauchi State, on behalf of all member Governors, heartily celebrates H.E. Engr. Oluseyi Makinde, the Governor of Oyo State as he turns 56 on this special day which is globally acknowledged for celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.

2. The Forum joins his family, friends, and indeed, all the people of Oyo State, to give all thanks to the Almighty God for his life, health, and wisdom in steering the ship of state in Oyo.

3. We celebrate his sterling performance in office as Governor of Oyo State in over four years, as evidenced in life impacting projects in infrastructure, education, agriculture, healthcare service delivery, power generation, SME funding, security and safety - a wholesome transformation strategy for generational change. 

4. This progress is also being felt in the reorganized solid mineral sector, aviation sector upgrade, improved civil service welfare, transportation, culture and tourism, road networking and urban renewal, trade and investment drive, youth and women empowerment, among others. We are proud to say that the State's economy has recorded a remarkable leap.

5. The Forum acknowledges his numerous contributions to the growth of our Forum and his nationalistic approach to governance.

6. We celebrate his valuable contributions in his capacity as Vice Chairman of the Nigeria Governors' Forum, to the growth of the nation and pray for more divine guidance generally in the line of service.

7. Be assured of the unalloyed support of the Forum always as you preside over the affairs of state.

Governor Mutfwang Receives Nigerian First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu's Generous Donation Of 500 Million Naira To Plateau Crisis Victims

Nigeria's First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has donated N500 million to families affected by violent attacks in Plateau States.  The N500 million will be disbursed under the Renewed Hope Initiative and Social Investment Programme, with One Million Naira allocated to each of the 500 affected families. Announcing the donation at the New Banquet Hall of the Government House, Little Rayfield, the First Lady said that government is concerned about their plight.  Senator Oluremi Tinubu expressed her deep concern for the victims, stating that the news of the deteriorating security situation in Mangu Local Government Area on May 15, 2023, had deeply saddened her.  She acknowledged the devastation and despair faced by the affected communities, with destroyed homes and disrupted sources of livelihood.
