Enugu IPAC to Release Mbah's Half Term Scorecard

Ahead of the second anniversary of the Governor Peter Mbah Administration in Enugu State, the state chapter of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), has announced plan to undertake a comprehensive evaluation of the government after two years. This initiative, according to IPAC, aimed to provide an objective assessment of the administration's impact on the state, highlighting both achievements and areas in need of improvement. This was made known in a statement issued by the Chairman of Enugu State IPAC, Hon. Obioma Nnamani, on Wednesday. "In line with this objective, IPAC has established a Special Committee tasked with overseeing IPAC's relationship with the government, ensuring the deepening of democracy and the delivery of democracy dividends to the citizens. Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri, has warned his appointees to desist from engaging in political activities ahead of the yet to be released 2027 election guidelines by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Governor Diri said any of his appointees found engaging in political activities at this time would be sacked. He issued the stern warning on Wednesday during the 162nd session of the state's executive council meeting inside the Executive Council Chambers of Government House, Yenagoa. The Bayelsa governor, who  wondered why some persons decided to heat up the polity when it was not yet time for politicking, noted that although everyone had the right to aspire to any political office, it should be done in line with the INEC stipulated guidelines. Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has solicited increased revenue to states from the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) to fast track the execution of development projects and programmes in the States. Bayelsa Government Seeks Probe Of Shooting At Group’s Rally

The Bayelsa State Government has expressed dismay over the shooting incident during a political rally organised in the state on Saturday by the NEW Associates, a group allegedly loyal to the Federal Capital Territory Minister, Chief Nyesom Wike. The state government in a statement issued by the Commissioner for Information, Orientation and Strategy, Mrs. Obiuwou Koku-Obiyai, on Saturday night called on the Inspector-General of Police and the police authorities in the state to unravel those behind the incident at the rally ground. The government expressed concern that the shooting was not a coincidence as the organisers had earlier threatened that “the good, the bad and the ugly” would attend the event. It wondered why a gathering that was expected to be peaceful turned violent with some persons reportedly injured.
