Gov Eno Admonishes Christians to Imbibe Lessons of Easter
Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has admonished Christians to allow the redemptive value of the resurrection of Christ, which depicts victory over death and hopelessness, to reflect daily in their lives.
Governor Eno gave the admonition in his sermon at the All Nations Christian Ministry International, Eket LGA, as part of the events to commemorate the 2025 Easter celebration.
He urged people to trust and believe solely in God, as the resurrection is a message of hope, indicating that He is able to resurrect whatever is dead.
Preaching on the theme “He Arose,” culled from Matthew 27:62–66, the Governor charged the congregation on the benefits of the resurrection of Christ.
He said, “Christ’s resurrection gives us the boldness to talk about Christ. It assures us of the forgiveness of our sins and validates our belief in the Lord Jesus Christ.
“His resurrection gives us the assurance of meeting with our departed loved ones again, and the overall lesson of all this is that God cannot be limited.”
On his birthday, which comes up on the 24th of April, he enjoined well-wishers to visit the less privileged or orphanages and celebrate the day with them, noting that he is passionate about their welfare.
“Let them know that the Governor’s birthday is the 24th of April, and that you have come to celebrate my birthday with them. Take pictures and videos of the celebration and send them to me. Honestly, I will be happier and more fulfilled.”
