Fintiri Pledges Stronger Ties with Traditional Rulers for Grassroots Development
Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening ties with newly coronated chiefs to foster development and enhance economic prosperity at the grassroots.
Governor Fintiri made this pledge during a courtesy visit to the paramount ruler of Madagali Local Government Area, Ptil Madagali, His Royal Highness Dr. Ali Danburam, at his palace in Gulak.
The Governor, who was in Gulak—his hometown—for a working visit to mark the Easter celebration, visited the royal father for the first time since his coronation two months ago. The visit was aimed at identifying with the Chief and the entire Madagali community during the festive season.
He urged traditional leaders to be proactive and deliberate about the security of their communities, assuring them that the government remains committed to safeguarding lives and property.
Governor Fintiri further revealed his administration's readiness to partner with traditional rulers in addressing the issue of out-of-school children and youth unemployment. He said empowering young people with job opportunities is vital to enhancing economic growth at the grassroots.
The royal father pledged absolute loyalty to the Governor and his administration, assuring him of continued cooperation to ensure security and economic development of the area.
He also congratulated Governor Fintiri on his appointment as Chairman of the forthcoming PDP National Convention, describing it as a testament to his leadership qualities. He expressed confidence in the Governor’s ability to deliver and offered prayers for his success during and beyond his tenure.
