Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri paid homage to the Palace of His Royal Highness, Mbege Ka Michika, Prof. Bulus Luka Gadiga, in Michika Local Government Area, where he called for continued resilience and unity to overcome the scars of insurgency.
“Tough times don’t last, but tough people do. We must continue to remain resilient and work together,” the Governor said, stressing his commitment to rebuilding communities and restoring hope.
“We have the will and the capacity to deliver more dividends of democracy,” he added. “We must ensure that the heinous crimes committed by insurgents are erased from the memories of our children. Our collective resilience will heal our land.”
The Governor thanked the monarch for his warm reception and assured him:
“I remain loyal to you and will continue to contribute my quota of development just like I do for every community in Adamawa.”
In his remarks, the revered monarch, Prof. Luka Gadiga, lauded Governor Fintiri’s transformative leadership, saying:
“We are lucky to have you. From roads to hospitals, schools to empowerment programmes—your impact is visible. We will continue to support you.”
He further called on community leaders to stay vigilant and urged the youth to embrace agriculture as the rainy season approaches.
“May God shield you and protect you from your enemies,” the monarch prayed.
