Gov Eno Felicitates Okon Okon, Wife on Birthday
Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has congratulated the Chairman, Board of Internal Revenue Service, Mr. Okon Okon, and his wife, Uwem, on their 60th and 55th birthday anniversaries, respectively.
At a thanksgiving service at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Dominion Mega Parish, Uyo, the Governor described Okon as a man of honour, with a distinguished career and a profound sense of commitment to all that he does.
Reflecting on his relationship with Okon, Governor Eno admonished that people should be careful when they cross paths, as they are bound to meet again one way or the other, and described his relationship with Okon as divine and strategically geared towards the development of the State.
“We are here to celebrate a man of honour with distinguished service and career; a man who is committed to what he does, and of course, his dear wife. We celebrate them.
“I have known Mr. Okon for a long time, and we have come a long way. He has made my job very easy by generating the money to run our government. He is delivering on his mandate and service as expected.
“He is a very simple man, whose yes is yes and whose no is no. I like working with such men. So, we celebrate you and your beloved wife today,” he said.
Governor Eno noted that distinguished personalities within the State and across the country could not have come to celebrate Okon if he were not a good man of outstanding admiration.
Preaching on the topic “Noah of Today,” Pastor Gabriel Adewuyi stressed the need for people to always appreciate God for His exceptional and steadfast love, as exemplified in the life of Okon and his spouse.
Pastor Adewuyi acknowledged the selfless sacrifices and services of Okon for the works of God and enjoined people to endeavour to serve God diligently to attract His marvellous blessings.
