Kefas visits CDS

The Governor of Taraba State, Dr. Agbu Kefas, has assured the Nigerian Armed Forces of the total support and cooperation of his administration to ensure that Taraba State remains peaceful and calm.

The Governor stated this on Monday at the Defense Headquarters when he paid a courtesy visit to the Chief of Defense Staff, General Chris Musa.

Speaking during a courtesy visit on the Chief of Defense Staff, General Chris Musa at the Conference room of the Defense Headquarters Abuja, the Governor of Taraba State, Dr. Agbu Kefas, appreciated the role the military is playing in promoting stability and peace in Taraba State.

Dr. Agbu Kefas informed the CDS that Cameroonian Ambazonians have been threatening some parts of the state, particularly around the Kashimbilla area in Takum, and urged the CDS to increase troops to make the state safer.

He assured that his administration is going to assist the military in whatever capacity to succeed.

The Chief of Defense Staff, General Chris Musa, commended the Governor for swiftly going into governance to ensure democratic dividends to the people.

He assured the Governor that the armed forces are going to put in all that is required for Taraba to be peaceful.

General Chris Musa said measures are in place to address the Ambazonian threats in some parts of the state.

The Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas, presented a souvenir to the CDS.
