Gov. Diri graces grand reception in honour of Sen. Lokpobiri

...as Denyanbofa, Warrens, Wodu, Okorotie also honoured

Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri, today graced the grand reception in honour of the Minister of Petroleum Resources(Oil), Senator Heineken Lokpobiri at Ekeremor town, headquarters of Ekeremor Local Government Area.

Also honoured were Elder Dimaro Denyanbofa, Bayelsa representative, NDDC Board, Mrs. Augusta Bekearedebo Warrens, Board Member, NCDMB, Kemasuode Wodu, Senior Advocate of Nigeria and Felix T. Okorotie, Senior Advocate of Nigeria.

The grand reception was organized to honour the illustrious sons and daughter of Ekeremor Local Government Area who were appointed and promoted in positions of trust and service to Nigeria.

In his remarks, Gov. Diri thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing Sen. Lokpobiri as Minister and appreciated the people of Ekeremor for coming out in their numbers to honour their sons and daughter.

He also enjoined the people to desist from mundane political sentiments.

"Let me on behalf of the Government and good people of Bayelsa State, thank profusely, the President of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for appointing Senator Heineken Lokpobiri as minister.

I want to also appreciate all of you for coming out in your numbers to honour Senator Heineken Lokpobiri and others. And I know they have what it takes to represent Bayelsa State. 

Those of us who are from Ekeremor Local Government Area, I beg of you, this is not the time for PDP or APC, it is time for governance. We don't have differences, what we have is the development of Ekeremor LGA, Bayelsa State and Nigeria. We must remain one and united. We love one another", Gov. Diri said.

Governor Mutfwang Receives Nigerian First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu's Generous Donation Of 500 Million Naira To Plateau Crisis Victims

Nigeria's First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has donated N500 million to families affected by violent attacks in Plateau States.  The N500 million will be disbursed under the Renewed Hope Initiative and Social Investment Programme, with One Million Naira allocated to each of the 500 affected families.
