6th Meeting of the National Council on Niger Delta Very Insightful and Productive - Gov. Fubara

Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalaayi Fubara, has expressed pleasure with the outcome of the 6th Meeting of the National Council on Niger Delta. 

Governor Fubara stated this shortly after the meeting of the 6th National Council on Niger Delta ended at the Unity Hall of the Government House Complex, in Asaba, Delta State on Tuesday, 23rd April 2024.

Represented by his Deputy, Prof. Ngozi Nma Odu, Governor Fubara said the meeting was most interactive and productive, stressing that people made valuable contributions and came up with a seven-point communiqué that would be very impactful on the people of the Niger Delta Region.


He noted that the communiqué covered the agricultural sector, capacity building of the youths, as well as the domestication of the state action plan on women, peace and security in the States of the region amongst others.
The State Chief Executive also appreciated the dedication and contributions of the host State, especially Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, the Hon. Minister of the Niger Delta Engr. Abubakar Momoh, the Ministry of Niger Delta, Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), as well as Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu, the Hon. Minister of Steel Development who represented President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
