PDP Governors' Forum Celebrates Gov. Umo Bassey Eno on His 60th Birthday

The Peoples' Democratic Party Governors’ Forum (PDP-GF) under the Chairmanship of H.E. Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed (CON), the Governor of Bauchi State, on behalf of all the member-Governors, heartily celebrates H.E. Pastor Umo Bassey Eno, the Governor of Akwa Ibom State as he turns 60 today.

2. The Forum joins his family, friends, and indeed, all the people of Akwa Ibom State at home and in the Diaspora, to give all gratitude to the Almighty Father for his life, health, and wisdom in the governance of Akwa Ibom State.

3. The Forum acknowledges his capacity for result-oriented leadership and firm stand for peaceful coexistence, respectively, while upholding the essence of continuity in governance, backed with prudent utilisation of resources.

4. The Governor has reoriented the workers' mindset for higher productivity through his administration's special programs and policies, equally restoring their confidence in service to State and Nation by prioritizing their welfare in the last eleven (11) months, as well as that of retirees through  clearance of backlog of gratuities and pensions.

5. His dedication to upgrading the State's education sector is evident in the facility revamp at Primary, Secondary and Tertiary levels.

6. Worthy of mention is his drive to consolidate the past records in Road construction and Flood control/ reclamation, Urban renewal, Tourism rebirth, Sanitation and Water provision.

7. Also remarkable are his administration's Trade and Investment Drive, Repackaging of the Security architecture and Waterways safety, next-level Aviation boost, and his unfolding dream package on Agriculture and Agro-based production, food security and sustainability as well as Healthcare Service Delivery.

8. The Forum assures His Excellency of our unalloyed support at all times as he pilots the affairs of state.

Governor Mutfwang Receives Nigerian First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu's Generous Donation Of 500 Million Naira To Plateau Crisis Victims

Nigeria's First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has donated N500 million to families affected by violent attacks in Plateau States.  The N500 million will be disbursed under the Renewed Hope Initiative and Social Investment Programme, with One Million Naira allocated to each of the 500 affected families. Announcing the donation at the New Banquet Hall of the Government House, Little Rayfield, the First Lady said that government is concerned about their plight.  Senator Oluremi Tinubu expressed her deep concern for the victims, stating that the news of the deteriorating security situation in Mangu Local Government Area on May 15, 2023, had deeply saddened her.  She acknowledged the devastation and despair faced by the affected communities, with destroyed homes and disrupted sources of livelihood.
