Contractor for Agge Deep Seaport to be Awarded Next week Governor Henry Seriake Dickson says, his administration will award the contract for the Agge deep seaport, which is one of the most ambitious and capital intensive projects, under his watch next month. The Governor, who disclosed this in his remarks at the October, 2018 edition of the State’s monthly Praise Night at the King of Glory Chapel, Government House, Yenagoa, stated that, the project is part of his administration’s decision to double its strategic developmental efforts in a bid to move the state to greater heights. Construction Work on 21-Storey Building Progressing at Impressive Speed-AKSG

The Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Special Duties and Aviation Development, Mr. Akan Okon, has expressed satisfaction with the pace of construction work at the 21-storey smart building located along Udo Udoma Avenue.            He gave the indication during a routine inspection visit to the facility. The building which is at its fourth floor stage upon completion will provide a hub for oil companies and other multinationals who in times past cited absence of a befitting accommodation as the reason for not domiciling their headquarters in the State. The Commissioner  lauded His Excellency, Governor Udom Emmanuel, for showing absolute commitment to the project in the midst of  lean resources and assiduously working towards fulfilling his promise to Akwa Ibom people. Stay Away if Rivers is unsafe, RSG tells Amaechi

Bayelsa Receives N12.8 Billion Allocation for the Month of September

The Bayelsa State Government has declared receipt of N12.8 billion as allocation from the Federation Account for the month of September, 2018. The Commissioner for Finance, Mr. Maxwell Ebibai, made the comment in a statement on Tuesday. According to him, the State Governor, the Honourable Henry Seriake Dickson, has directed immediate payment of salaries to civil servants. Ebibai said that the government’s decision to declare the allocation from Federation Account for September was in line with the transparency policy of the Restoration Government. He stressed that the Finance Committee had commenced steps to effect payment of the September salaries to workers in line with the governor’s directive. Ebibai said that while the government was aware of an earlier directive by the Governor to pay two months salary arrears and four months of pension arrears, efforts were ongoing to ensure that the directive was carried out. By Editor Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose has said that the 2019 presidential election will not be a contest between the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and President Muhammadu Buhari, but "a straight fight between the president and Nigerians who are tired of his misrule." In a statement by his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, the governor said President Buhari will have Nigerians to contend with in 2019 and not the PDP or other opposition parties alone.
