Gov. Udom Commissions Isolation Centre

Commemorating his fifth year in office, Akwa Ibom State Governor, Udom Emmanuel, has commissioned the 300- capacity Isolation Center in Ituk Mbang, Uruan Local Government Area while reassuring people of the state that better days lie ahead despite the gloomy picture painted by the Covid-19 pandemic. Rivers Set to Commission Cassava Plant

-To employ 4,500 persons The Rivers State Cassava Processing Company located at Afam, Oyigbo Local Government Area will soon come on stream.  Governor Nyesom Wike who stated this Thursday after inspecting the plant, pointed out that the company when fully operational would employ 4,500 persons and also boost agriculture in the state. He stated that the State Government has 70 percent equity share in the project which is in partnership with Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) of Nigeria. Odiari Princewill is Dead, Wike Mourns

The Chairman of Asari Toru Local Government Area of Rivers State, Odiari Princewill, is dead. Princewill, a strong loyalist of Governor Nyesom Wike, died on Wednesday at about 10pm and was buried on Thursday morning at the Port Harcourt cemetery. It was claimed that the council boss lost his life to a protracted illness after receiving treatment at an undisclosed facility, even though there are indications that his death is COVID-19 related. Residents of the council have described Princewill as a true loyalist of Wike and recalled his tireless efforts to develop the council. At the time of filing this report, the Rivers state government has not released a statement concerning the death of the council boss.

Okowa Mourns New Telegraph editor, Waheed Bakare

Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State on Wednesday commiserated with the management of New Telegraph Newspaper over the passing of its Saturday Editor, Mr. Waheed Bakare. The Governor also condoled with the family, the Nigerian Union of Journalists, the Nigerian Guild of Editors and the entire media industry over the passing of the renowned journalist. Bakare died on Sunday in Lagos after a brief illness and has since been buried according to Islamic rites. GOV. BALA RENOVATES 405 AND CONSTRUCTS 270 CLASSROOMS

The administration of Governor Bala Muhammed of Bauchi State has within its first year constructed new 270 primary/junior secondary classrooms and renovated 405 classrooms across the state. The projects are worth N3 billion. The project site engineer with the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Engr. Bello disclosed this to journalists inspecting projects executed by the governor. The media team was also told that 16 other special school projects were executed by the State Government across the state at a total cost of N500 million for the advancement  of basic education. 350 Keke Napep have arrived Bauchi State out of the 1,000 planned to be distributed to those affected by the ban on Achaba operations in the state.
