Gov. Matawalle Felicitate With Muslims On Eid – El Fitr



Governor Bello Mohamned (Matawallen Maradun) has felicitated with Muslims in the state on the occasion of eid-el-fitri celebration to which officially marks the end of this year's Muslims fasting period.

In a statewide broadcast, Governor Matawalle wishes all Muslims a memorable Sallah in spite of the covid-19 pandemic ravaging the state. He called on Muslims to observe safety meadylyres against the disease as they celebrate the occasion.
Governor Matawalle said his administration decided to put everything in place in order to support an stress free fasting period as well as Sallah celebration by providing enormous palliatives to the public.

He said the Government has provided free food twice a day to the public and subsidised Foodstuff to civil servants throughout the Ramadan period. Similarly, 400 cows were purchased and distributed free to organisations and the public in celebration of the festive period.
Governor Matawalle equally directed for the payment of May salaries on the 18th so that all civil servants can celebrate their Eid with greater ease.

"I believe if we are to imbibe the spirit of sacrifice, tolerance and patience which are the primary teachings of the Holy Ramadan, we will have a better world where peace and tranquillity will reign; mutual interdependence will prevail, and economic prosperity will thrive" Governor Matwalle observed.
