Matawalle Presents Letter of Appointment to New Emir of Kaura Namoda



Governor of Zamfara State, Hon. Bello Muhammad, MON (Matawallen Maradun) has presented a letter of appointment to the new Emir of Kaura Namoda, Sarkin Kiyawa, Alhaji Sanusi Muhammad Ahmed Asha.


The Governor, during a brief ceremony of the presentation of the appointment letter, said that the appointment of the new Emir of Kaura Namoda was in accordance with the provision of section seventeen (17) of Zamfara State Emirate Council Establishment Law 2000, Law No. 15 Section i - iii and Section 3 of Chiefs (Appointment and Deposition) Law, 1997.

The Matawallen Maradun also informed the new Emir that the  appointment is based on the recommendation of the King makers of Kaura Namoda Emirate Council who rate him the most suitably qualified among the contesting heirs for the throne of Sarkin Kiyawan Kaura Namoda (Emir of Kaura Namoda).
 While wishing the new Emir Allah's guidance and protection in the discharge of his responsibility, Governor Bello Matawalle urged people of Kaura Namoda Emirate to accord much respect and give the new Emir all the necessary support and cooperation for the development of the Emirate.

Governor Bello Muhammad also assured of his administration's readiness to respect the dignity of the traditional institutions considering their role in maintaining peace and tranquility in their domains.



Responding, the new Emir of Kaura Namoda, His Royal Highness Alhaji Sanusi Muhammad Ahmed Asha, assured to follow the footsteps of his fathers and forefathers by carrying all his subjects along for unity and development of Kaura Namoda Emirate.

Alhaji Sanusi Muhammad Asha thanked Governor Bello Muhammad for the honour done to him and enjoined all and sundry to pray for him and the success of his new assignment.


It could be recalled that the new Emir of Kaura Namoda, Sarkin Kiyawa, Alhaji Sanusi Muhammad Ahmed Asha, was appointed by the Governor of Zamfara State on 6th May, 2020 following the demise of his father, the second Emir of Kaura Namoda, Alhaji Muhammad Ahmed Asha MFR.

Governor Mutfwang Receives Nigerian First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu's Generous Donation Of 500 Million Naira To Plateau Crisis Victims

Nigeria's First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has donated N500 million to families affected by violent attacks in Plateau States.  The N500 million will be disbursed under the Renewed Hope Initiative and Social Investment Programme, with One Million Naira allocated to each of the 500 affected families.
