COMMON MEN WILL BE THE BENEFICIARIES OF MY PROJECTS - BALA MOHAMMED




Bauchi State Governor, Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has assured that, common men in the state will be the beneficiaries of his administration's policies and programmes.

At a media chat to commemorate his one year in office, the Governor said despite the modest achievements recorded in the last one year, his administration will work tirelessly to meet the basic needs of the citizens.

According to the Governor, to execute his blueprint for the state, the State Government will raise its Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) in addition to looking for other alternatives source of  accessing interventions.

He added that, in the last 12 months, despite dwindling financial purse and a global pandemic that affected his plans, many successes have been recorded in the areas of road, school and hospital construction and renovations, expansion of water systems, improving access to healthcare delivery, youth and women empowerment, among others.

" I know what people of Bauchi did to me in the last election, so I must work hard to make them satisfied with our administration, all what we have done so far we are yet to perform for us to meet the huge expectations."

In a welcome address, the State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Honorable Garba Dahiru, said that with the coming of the administration of Governor Bala Mohammed, it has laid a solid foundation for the speedy development of the state.

Delta awards N78bn contract for flyovers in Warri, Effurun

Delta State Government has approved the award of contracts worth N78 billion to Julius Berger Nigeria Limited for the construction of three flyover bridges and road expansion in the Warri/Effurun megalopolis. This was part of decisions reached at the State Executive Council meeting presided over by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on Tuesday in Asaba.  Briefing journalists at the end of the Exco meeting, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works, Engr Fred Edafiogho, said approval of the contracts were aimed at solving the gridlock often experienced in the twin cities.
