Governor Fintiri Flags Off Upgrade, Expansion Of Cottage Hospital

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri Tuesday flagged of upgrade and expansion of Fufore cottage hospital. Governor Umaru Fintiri while speaking at the event said the contract was awarded to Messrs Yaks Solutions at the cost of ₦186,000,000. He said the work will cover reconstruction and expansion of the male and female wards, surgical wards, redesign and construction of the hospital entrance, physician offices and consulting rooms as well as perimeter fence and gate. Governor Umaru Fintiri said the project which is expected to be completed in six months will lessen the pressure of referrals on the Specialist Hospital and even the Federal Medical Center, Yola. Commissioner of Health and Human Services, Professor Abdullahi Isah said the upgrade of the hospital will augment healthcare delivery to the masses and urged the people to give the contractor maximum support. Benue Stakeholders Back Orton on Security Measures,Endorse Privatisation of Enterprises

Stakeholders from Benue State rose from a marathon meeting with the state government and threw their weight behind Governor Samuel Ortom on the security measures he has taken to protect lives and property in the state. The stakeholders, who cut across political, religious and traditional rulers, urged the Federal Government to support the Benue state Governor in tackling the deplorable security issues bedeviling the state. Awka, the Anambra State capital, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu joined two other PDP Governors and other leaders of the party at the formal launch of the e-registration of her members as a way of boosting the membership strength of the party. Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State has responded to Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Senator George Akume's claim that he used "foul language" on President Muhammadu Buhari.  Akume, during a press statement today in Abuja, asked the governor to tender an apology to President Buhari for operating outside the rules of engagement between the state and federal governments.  However, in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Terver Akase, Ortom said Akume said uncomplimentary things to then President, Olusegun Obasanjo during his time as governor.  He also asked the minister to provide evidence to back his claim that he sponsors militia. Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike says he has approached governance with human face through ambitious investment in basic infrastructure and creation of the necessary environment for economic growth in the State. Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of #Enugu State, on returning from Abuja on Sunday, after participating in a series of meetings of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), visited the ESUT Teaching Hospital, Parklane, Enugu, to empathise with survivors of the unfortunate fire incidents caused by adulterated kerosene sold in Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area of the state. The People's Democratic Party National Executive Council has ratified the October 30th Convention date picked by the National Caucus during its meeting on Friday. …Urges residents to get vaccinated The #Enugu State government under #Governor Ifeanyi #Ugwuanyi has flagged off the second phase of the administration of AstraZeneca and Moderna #COVID19  vaccines on the people of the state, in collaboration with Development Partners.  The flag off ceremony which took place at the ESUT Teaching Hospital Parklane, Enugu, was performed on behalf of Gov. Ugwuanyi by his deputy, Hon. Mrs. Cecilia Ezeilo, who conveyed the governor’s message, enjoining the people of Enugu State to get vaccinated and also observe the non-pharmaceutical methods of preventing the spread of the virus, such as wearing of facemask, regular washing of hands with soap and running water and observing of social distancing protocol, among others.
