Ortom Task Benue People on Investment In Agriculture

Governor Samuel Ortom has charged Benue people to take advantage of the investment opportunities in Agriculture to improve their individual and state economy.

He spoke yesterday at the Redeemed Christian  of God, RCCG Gboko road while presenting a paper on "Agriculture: Untapped Business Potentials," during the Men's Fellowship Convention 2021.

The Governor stated that the agricultural value chain could be harnessed for serious investment, stressing that the agricultural potentials in Benue are enormous.

Governor Ortom noted that in order to encourage civil servants as well as political office holders in the state on agricultural activities, his administration usually allows  work free days during cultivation and harvesting times.

According to the Governor, upon creation, God gave man agriculture as evident in the Garden of Eden where Adam was asked to take charge.

He explained that investments in agricultural production and the entire value chain has the capacity to yield huge returns, and encouraged the people to  start small and grow in the process.

During the event, Governor Ortom joined the Pastors and congregation in cutting the convention cake.
