PDP Governors' Forum Restates Commitment To Reposition Party

Governors of the People's Democratic Party have again restated their commitment to ensure the unity of the party. 


The Governors have been restrategising ahead of the 2023 polls in Nigeria.

At its emergency meeting in Abuja on Monday, the forum agreed to work together to foster unity and progress of the party. 

Chairman of the PDP Governors forum and Sokoto State Governor Rt.Hon Aminu Waziri Tambuwal who announced the adjournment of the meeting to continue on Tuesday, assured of the Governors commitment to reposition the party and rescue Nigeria from bad governance.

The forum had last week appealed for calm over the leadership crisis facing PDP expressing hope of a come back in 2023.

Governor Tambuwal noted that the PDP Governors forum during Monday's meeting resolved to work together as a group on the side of the party. 


PDP National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus had made a brief appearance at the meeting as a show of support to the forum.

Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri and other PDP Governors all attended the meeting hosted by the Akwa Ibom State Governor Udom Emmanuel at the States Asokoro liaison office in Abuja.
