Governor Fintiri Receives FG Delegation On Condolence Visit

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri Sunday 15th August 2021 received the Federal Government high power delegation led by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) Barrister Boss Gida Mustapha on a condolence visit, over the demise of Late Ahmed Joda in the Government House, Yola.

The leader of the delegation  Boss Gida Mustapha devolve president Muhammadu Buhari  message to commiserate with the family, Government, and people of Adamawa State over the great loss of Ahmed Joda, a retired Super Permanent Secretary.

He said the president described late Ahmed Joda  as an illustrious Son of Nigeria, who has dedicated his life to serving God and humanity, saying his passage has created a huge vacuum, not in Adamawa but Nigeria as a whole.

He said the history of Nigeria cannot be completed without the life of the late Ahmed Joda,  been mention, because of his exemplary life, uniqueness, humility, honesty, modesty and generosity asking people to emulate his good virtues.
Responding, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri thanked the delegation for the visit to condole with the Government and people of Adamawa over the funerary loss of Ahmed Joda, and prayed to Allah to reward them abundantly.

Delta awards N78bn contract for flyovers in Warri, Effurun

Delta State Government has approved the award of contracts worth N78 billion to Julius Berger Nigeria Limited for the construction of three flyover bridges and road expansion in the Warri/Effurun megalopolis. This was part of decisions reached at the State Executive Council meeting presided over by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on Tuesday in Asaba.  Briefing journalists at the end of the Exco meeting, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works, Engr Fred Edafiogho, said approval of the contracts were aimed at solving the gridlock often experienced in the twin cities. He said the contracts included the design and construction of flyover bridge at Enerhen junction to Marine Gate; study, design and construction of road expansion and improvement works on the section of the DSC/NPA Expressway from Effurun roundabout to DSC roundabout including construction of a 3/4 Cloverleaf interchange at the existing Effurun Flyover Bridge as well as two pedestrian bridges.
