Oyo Govt, UNICEF launch open defecation free roadmap, WASH

  .... residents must maintain safe, clean, healthy environment, they say The Government of Oyo State, in collaboration with the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF), on Wednesday, launched the Open Defecation Free (ODF) Roadmap for the State, the Clean Nigeria Campaign and declared emergency in the Water, Sanitation, Hygiene (WASH) sector. The step was taken to bridge the access gap to toilet hygiene in the state and the country at large. Speaking at the launching ceremony held at the International Conference Centre of the University of Ibadan, Oyo State Governor, ‘Seyi Makinde, said that the government keyed into the project in line with its vision to make the state clean and to eradicate the challenge of open defecation. Government Will Support The Planned Aba International Trade Fair 2022 - Ikpeazu

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu says that his administration shall partner with the Aba Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (ACCIMA) to ensure that their plan of staging the Aba International Trade Fair before the end of the year succeeds. The Governor, who stated this when he received in audience, a delegation of the leadership of the Chamber at the Governor's Lodge, Aba, said that the return of the Aba Trade Fair has become long overdue and regretted that the trade fair which was one of the most popular events in Aba towards the end of every year has not been held in a long while.  He expressed joy that the new leadership of ACCIMA is prioritizing the return of the fair and assured that his administration will work closely with ACCIMA to make it a success. Ikpeazu Approves Release Of N450 Million Salary Support To Abia Poly And Assures That The Institution Has Come To Stay

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has approved the release of the sum of N450 million as salary support to the Abia State Polytechnic to immediately pay four (4) months out of the salaries owed workers by the Polytechnic. The Governor stated this today when he played host to a delegation of Student Leaders from the tertiary institutions in Abia State who paid him a solidarity visit at the Governor's Lodge, Aba The Governor made it clear that while the State Government is not responsible for the payment of the salaries of the workers of the Polytechnic or any other tertiary institutions in the state, his administration will not abandon the Polytechnic.
