PDP Governors' Forum felicitates Governor Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde @55

- says he has demonstrated uncommon transformational leadership

The Peoples Democratic Party Governors’ Forum (PDP-GF) under the Chairmanship of Rt. Hon. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, CFR, the Governor of Sokoto State felicitate with the Governor of Oyo state His Excellency, Engr. Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde, as he marks the anniversary of his 55th birthday today, December 25, 2022.

The Forum joins members of his friends, associates and the entire people of Oyo state in this joyous celebration on a day set aside globally to celebrate Christmas, the birth of Jesus Christ.

2.  We are glad because as Jesus came to save the world, we are very hopefull that the inspiration Governor Makinde draws from sharing the same birthday with Jesus is sufficient to continue to lead him to a stellar performance as Governor of Oyo State.

3.  As the Governor of Oyo State in the past three years and above, he has demonstrated uncommon leadership in transforming the state with innovational achievements in education, agriculture, investment promotion culminating in the recent multi billion Naira joint venture gas project in the state.

4. Governor Makinde has been pivotal in his agri business initiative which has opened the rural and urban communities as world class centres for agri business.

5. The Forum is happy to note other achievements of Governor Makinde in the power, health and sports sectors particularly the total overhaul of the Liberty Stadium as a centre of high performance in football and other sports, as witnessed in the spectacular performance of Team Oyo at the just concluded National Sports Festivals, and Oluyole Warriors (3SC) National Premier Football League's Dozy Mmobuosi Super Cup, among others 

6.  The Forum also  acknowledges his  contributions to the growth of our party and the Forum.

7.  We pray that the Almighty God will continue to grant him good health, foresight and wisdom to lead the State to greater achievements.

Governor Mutfwang Receives Nigerian First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu's Generous Donation Of 500 Million Naira To Plateau Crisis Victims

Nigeria's First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has donated N500 million to families affected by violent attacks in Plateau States.  The N500 million will be disbursed under the Renewed Hope Initiative and Social Investment Programme, with One Million Naira allocated to each of the 500 affected families. Announcing the donation at the New Banquet Hall of the Government House, Little Rayfield, the First Lady said that government is concerned about their plight.  Senator Oluremi Tinubu expressed her deep concern for the victims, stating that the news of the deteriorating security situation in Mangu Local Government Area on May 15, 2023, had deeply saddened her.  She acknowledged the devastation and despair faced by the affected communities, with destroyed homes and disrupted sources of livelihood.
