This visit was prompted by concerns raised by some individuals who attributed the flooding to a dam constructed by miners. Upon conducting an on-site inspection, the Governor affirmed that neither the dam nor the mining operations were responsible for the flood. He clarified that the primary issue was the unauthorized construction of buildings on waterways and drainage channels, which impeded the natural flow of water and resulted in significant flooding and damage.
