Insecurity: Gov. Fintiri Visits Victims of Communal Clash

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, Thursday, paid a visit to communities in the Lamurde and Guyuk axis bordering Gombe State that were affected by the Waja/Lungada ethnic incident earlier today.

The Governor expressed his condolences to all those who have been touched by the issue and urged residents to be tolerant of one another and live in peace.

He claimed that the destructive effects of the crisis have a disproportionate impact on the underprivileged, particularly women and children. He rejected all forms of violence.

The Governor stated that the current government will not tolerate any act of provocation or negative indoctrination by dishonest individuals bent on destabilizing the state's peace.

Governor Fintiri also paid a visit to the temporary camp where internally displaced persons were staying and promised immediate emergency relief to ease the effects of the suffering encountered by the people as occasioned by the crisis.

In the company of state security chiefs in Adamawa, an emergency meeting was held to offer solutions to the lingering crises that erupt mostly during planting seasons.


The Governor was accompanied by the service chiefs, Speaker Adamawa House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Aminu Iya Abbas, Secretary to the State Government Mallam Bashir Ahmad, Chief of Staff Government House Yola Professor Maxwell Gidado, Commissioners, Advisers among top government officials.
