WE WILL PARTNER WITH RELEVANT STAKEHOLDERS TO ENHANCE AGRICULTURAL SECTOR- SAYS GOVERNOR BALA AS HE WELCOMES NIAS-ASAN TO BAUCHI

Bauchi State Governor, His Excellency, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has said his administration will continue to partner with relevant stakeholders in an effort to improve livestock and other sectors for the benefit of citizens of Bauchi State. 

Mohammed made this known Monday when he received in audience, officials of the Animal Science Association of Nigeria and Nigeria Institute of Animal Science on a courtesy visit at Bauchi Government House. 


He applauded the Institute's decision to choose Bauchi for the Joint Annual Meeting and 27th ASAN Annual Conference, saying that Bauchi under his leadership will partner and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure improvement in livestock sub-sector in addition to addressing the challenges bedeviling the entire agricultural sector. 


Also speaking, a member of the delegation and former Tetfund Executive Secretary, Professor Suleiman Elias Bogoro, appreciated the commitment of Governor Bala towards providing good leadership that will facilitate the rapid development of the state. 


Earlier, presidents of the two bodies in their seperate remarks, acknowledged the efforts of Bauchi State Government towards livestock production and pledged to support the Government to succeed in the sector.

Delta awards N78bn contract for flyovers in Warri, Effurun

Delta State Government has approved the award of contracts worth N78 billion to Julius Berger Nigeria Limited for the construction of three flyover bridges and road expansion in the Warri/Effurun megalopolis. This was part of decisions reached at the State Executive Council meeting presided over by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on Tuesday in Asaba.  Briefing journalists at the end of the Exco meeting, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works, Engr Fred Edafiogho, said approval of the contracts were aimed at solving the gridlock often experienced in the twin cities.
