SECURITY :PRESIDENT MUHAMMAD BUHARI COMMENDS THE PROACTIVE MEASURES TAKEN BY GOVERNOR MATAWALLE.

President Muhammad Buhari has commended Zamfara State Governor Hon Dr Bello Mohammed Matawalle (Matawallen Maradun) for the proactive measures he has taken in addressing the security challenges confronting the State.

The President made the commendation today while addressing a delegation of concerned Zamfara State citizens under the leadership of Mallam Usman Balarabe who visited him at the State House, Abuja.

President Muhammad Buhari said "I am impressed with the action the newly elected governor of Zamfara State is taking including  identifying members of the traditional institution that are not doing their job and taking appropriate action against them."

The president added that the action taken by the governor is a way of reviving the security of our communities and that our traditional institution most be governed by our cultural responsibilities which they must carry out and if they don't, they must be ready to face the consequences.

He also promised to give the  governor all the necessary support and assistance he may require from the federal government for the success of the ongoing fight against banditry in Zamfara State and Nigeria as whole.

The President also informed the concerned delegation that he has already directed the nation's law enforcement agencies to redeploy more security personnel to the state "The Law enforcement agencies have been asked to make sure that they deploy their men under the command of trustworthy officers to send a clear message across to those terrorizing our communities.

Members of Zamfara State concerned citizens that visited the president include Kadiria Ahmed,Mallam Usman Balarabe, Prof Yahaya Zakari, Barr Fatima Nahuche and Barr Mohammed Babangida Umar.

Governor Mutfwang Receives Nigerian First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu's Generous Donation Of 500 Million Naira To Plateau Crisis Victims

Nigeria's First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has donated N500 million to families affected by violent attacks in Plateau States.  The N500 million will be disbursed under the Renewed Hope Initiative and Social Investment Programme, with One Million Naira allocated to each of the 500 affected families.
