Bauchi Begins Construction of Roads Project Covering The 3 Senatorial Zones of The State
Governor of Bauchi State North Eastern Nigeria, Sen. Bala Muhammad, Saturday afternoon, performed the grounbreaking ceremony for the construction of road Projects at Gwangwan in Bauchi metropolis.
The multi-level project involves the construction of Gwangwan to Bakaro,Malam Goje, Bakin Kura to Mudalawal Maket and Bununu Township Road of Tafawa Balewa local government as well as Sade Township Road Project in darazo local government.
The projects include Bauchi City Center 4 roads: Gwangwan gwan to Bakaro to Kofar Dumi, Malam Goje to Bakin Kura and Bakin Kura to Mudalawal Maket, Covering a distance of over 3km.
Bununu Township Road Project covering 2 major roads with a distance of 2.65km, Sade Township roads project covers 2 major roads with a distance of 2.5Km.
Disina township roads project and storm water damages covers the major arterial road into the town with a distance of about 1.65km to solve age long flooding problems.
Speaking at the ceremony Gov. Bala Muhammad Kaura explained that “we decided to pay the contractors 50 percent of the total project cost and the contractor has assured us that it would be completed in 7 months’ time”.
The governor gave the assurance that the state government has paid hundred percent compensation on private infrastructure affected by the project to make sure that its execution is speed up without any compromised.
Governor Bala added that the project would provide lasting solution to several transportation related and economic problems including accidents, congestion, air pollution and loss of revenu
Gov. Bala Mohammad Kaura explained that many roads have been created as viable diversion routes, and appealed for the understanding of the people to ensure smooth completion.
Performing the ceremony governor Nyesom wike of rivers state who is the special guest of honour commended Gov Bala Muhammad for maximally utilising the little resources that accrue to the state for the betterment of his people.
He called on people of the state to continue to support the state governor Bala Muhammad to enable him do more.
