Bauchi Gov to Hold Public Parley With Stakeholders on Challenges of Salary Payment and Issues of Nominal/Payroll

Bauchi State Goverment has observed with concern, the deluge of complaints on challenges associated with management and payment of salaries to civil servants.

These complaints affect the state as well as local government salaries and pension administration.

To demonstrate his usual leadership style and in the spirit of deepening stake-holding in governance, Senator Bala Mohammed (Kauran Bauchi), the   Governor of Bauchi State will hold a public parley with stake holders in the payment of salaries and pensions as part of his renewed strategy of tackling corrupt practices in the operation and management of the payroll.

The public parley has become necessary in view of the ongoing insinuations among members of the public including the social media users in respect of payment of salaries in the state. The public parley is to afford the governor the opportunity to interact physically  with relevant stakeholders with a view to getting to the root of the whole matter and to bring to an end all fraudulent activities in the management of the payroll system.

The public parley which will be transmitted live on all the radio stations in the state will be attended by members of the State Executive Council, officials from the Ministry of Finance, Office of the Accountant General, Chairman of the BVN Verification Committee, DYNATECH Consultants and Cabinet Committee on Payroll.

Others are leaders of the organised private sector, the leadership of the labour unions, civil society organizations as well as the leadership of political parties.

Permanent Secretaries, Heads of MDAs, Directors of Finance Accounts, Directors of Personnel and Pensions in relevant MDAs, professionals in financial management are also invited to attend the parley.
