Gov Ikpeazu Eulogizes His Wife on Her Birthday
- Nkechi Is My Pillar, My Backbone. When She Goes on Her Knees, Walls Are Broken for My Sake and Doors Are Opened
Governor Okezie Ikpeazu says that
his wife, Nkechi is the strongest human pillar in his life.
In a message on her birthday
today, the Governor stated clearly that the modest strides he has achieved in
life would have been impossible without the prayers of his wife.
"Nkechi is God's gift to me.
I have said it over and over again that she is the only woman that can marry
me. She perfectly understands me, my philosophies and she seamlessly align with
them, making me stronger and more able to cope with the challenges that confront
me daily.
Her prayers and constant
intercessions remain my biggest sources of strength. When she goes on her
knees, walls are broken in my life and doors are opened".
"In the last 28 years of our
marriage, she has proven to be what the Late Obafemi Awolowo described as MY
JEWEL OF INESTIMABLE VALUE, providing prayerful support for my life, raising
our children well and making our home a fortress of love and an epicenter of
peace. In the last five years of our service as Governor, Nkechi has grown in stature,
rising courageously and effectively responding to the huge demands of our
respective schedules. Yet, despite the seeming trappings of the office of the
Wife of the Governor, Nkechi has continued to see herself as my wife and mother
to our children".
The Governor wishes his wife a
very happy birthday today and thanks her publicly for the wholehearted love,
affection and support she has given to him in the nearly three decades of their
marriage and for being a most worthy companion in his life's journey.
