2nd Anniversary: Gov. Douye Diri Flags-Off Free Medical Outreach at Imiringi

... to jointly run Christ the Kings Catholic Church Hospital, Imiringi

... approves internal roads construction for Imiringi community

"Today, we are here to Flag-off prosperity in our health sector. This hospital is well equipped and medical doctors will be here to attend to surgical situations.  I remembered that first of the assignments I performed as a Governor in 2020, was the completion of the Imiringi bridge which was started by the previous administration and we completed it and commissioned it during our first anniversary here in Imiringi. And having listened to your demands, I direct as follows.

That the Christ the Kings Catholic Hospital Imiringi will from today be taken over by the State government in collaboration with the Catholic Church, and in doing so, the Commissioner for Health is hereby directed to post a permanent doctor and other very relevant health personnels to this hospital, and that follows  monthly wages and all of those that will be working here will be taken over by the Bayelsa State Government.
And the request for internal roads, the Honourable Commissioner for Works, should include Imiringi community as part of the concrete roads that we have been constructing across Yenagoa. As a government, we are doing so much in the health sector. We are the first State to introduce Health Insurance Scheme under the immediate past administration. The scheme has even been expanded. BHIS is no longer just for the civil servants, we have opened the scheme to all citizens of the State."
