Governor Fintiri Commends The Nigerian Army For Keeping The Country Intact, Promises More Support

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa state has commended the Nigerian Army for its continuous sacrifice at keeping the Country intact against external aggressions and terrorism from within.

Fintiri gave the commendation at the 2022 West African Social Activities ( WASA) an annual social event that gives personal of the Nigerian Army a home feeling that despite being away from their homelands, they are not detached from their cultures and traditions.

Fintiri who was special guest of honor on the occasion said, that Nigeria still remains one and forges ahead as so is a credit majorly for the Army.

Ahmadu Fintiri observed that terrorism has claimed the lives of many Soldiers on battle grounds, and suggested that the Nation's Army deserves better that what it is today.

Fintiri himself is a child of a soldier, he recounted the rigours of hardwork personel go through to secure the Nation's territory opined that it is not a misplacement of priority if the federal government prioritize their welfare and that of their families

In his typical nature of rewarding excellence, Fintiri donated the sum of five million naira to Major Bala, the commander joint taskforce whose effort at coordinating  respective uniform personel against crimes and terrorism in the state is appreciated

The governor also announced the donation of two million naira respectively to a logistics/maintainance Army officer for resilience in carrying out his task

Following a great display of military know- how by students of the Army Command Children's school during the event, Fintiri also announced to direct the state ministry of education to construct a block of six classrooms for the school

In an opening remarks, Brigade Commander 23 Armoured brigade, Brigadier general Aminu Mustapha Garba lauded Fintiri's encouragement and pledge that the brigade under his Command will continue to engage bad elements from distorting the serenity of the state and beyond

He admonished Soldiers and officers of the Army to redouble efforts at counter insurgency struggles to rid the nation off terrors

Highpoint of the occasion was cultural displays by respective cultural troupes as well as presentation of awards to outstanding soldiers.

Governor Mutfwang Receives Nigerian First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu's Generous Donation Of 500 Million Naira To Plateau Crisis Victims

Nigeria's First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has donated N500 million to families affected by violent attacks in Plateau States.  The N500 million will be disbursed under the Renewed Hope Initiative and Social Investment Programme, with One Million Naira allocated to each of the 500 affected families.
