Governor Mutfwang Attends Sitting of Governorship Election Petition Tribunal

Governor Caleb  Manasseh Mutfwang of Plateau State on Monday attended the commencement of sitting of the Governorship election petition tribunal in Jos.

The petitioners are challenging the Governor's overwhelming victory at the 18 March, 2023 Governorship election.

Governor Caleb Mutfwang, who arrived the court room at about 8:30am ahead of the sitting, exchanged pleasantries with party loyalists, learned slik across parties, as well as his well wishers.

His presence at the tribunal was greeted with cheers by the members of the audience with many bursting into songs and dances.

The Governor was accompanied by the Secretary to the Government of the State, Arc. Samuel  Nanchang Jatau, Attorney  General and Commissioner of Justice, Barr. Philimon Daffi, Chief of Staff Government House, Engr. Jeremiah Satmark, Executive Private Secretary, Mr. Moses Nwan, and top PDP stalwarts.

Delta awards N78bn contract for flyovers in Warri, Effurun

Delta State Government has approved the award of contracts worth N78 billion to Julius Berger Nigeria Limited for the construction of three flyover bridges and road expansion in the Warri/Effurun megalopolis. This was part of decisions reached at the State Executive Council meeting presided over by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on Tuesday in Asaba.  Briefing journalists at the end of the Exco meeting, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works, Engr Fred Edafiogho, said approval of the contracts were aimed at solving the gridlock often experienced in the twin cities. He said the contracts included the design and construction of flyover bridge at Enerhen junction to Marine Gate; study, design and construction of road expansion and improvement works on the section of the DSC/NPA Expressway from Effurun roundabout to DSC roundabout including construction of a 3/4 Cloverleaf interchange at the existing Effurun Flyover Bridge as well as two pedestrian bridges.
