Governor Dauda Lawal Attends National Economic Council (NEC) Meeting

Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, on Thursday, attended the National Economic Council (NEC) meeting in Abuja.

The 135th meeting of the National Economic Council (NEC) was chaired by the Vice President, Sen. Kashim Shettima, GCON, at the Council Chambers, Presidential Villa. 
The meeting deliberated on key issues of concern, such as the fuel subsidy removal and possible ways to mitigate the sufferings of the people.

Furthermore, the Vice President, Kashim Shettima, formed a committee consisting of five Governors that would meet with the labour union leaders to reach an understanding on the issue of fuel subsidy removal.

The NEC also deliberated on ways to continue with the distribution of food items as palliatives across the country.
