Gov. Okowa Assigns Portfolios To New SAs

Governor of Delta State, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, has assigned the following portfolios to the eight Special Advisers who were recently sworn in :

(i) Comrade Mike Okeme - Labour Matters and SERVICOM
(ii) Chief Edwin Uzoh - Peace Building/Conflict Resolution
(iii) Hon. Daniel Yingi - Environment/Marine Transport
(iv) Ernest Ogwezzy, Esq. - Petroleum Resources
(v) Hon. Johnson Erijo - Project Implementation
(vi) Chief (Mrs.) Mary Iyasere - Entrepreneurship Development
(vii) Prince Kelly K. Penawou - Local Government Affairs
(viii) Hon. Pascal Adigwe - National Assembly (NASS), NDDC
and Niger Delta Affairs.

Governors in North Central/Middle Belt States Are Working to Raise the Bar of Good Governance, Says Governor Mutfwang

Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang has said that he and his fellow governors in the North Central and the Middle Belt regions of Nigeria are committed to raising the bar of good governance in their respective states for the benefit of their people and the nation at large. Towards this end he has resolved to put the people's interest first in his democratic journey because he owes his mandate to them, and that doing so will build the confidence and trust of citizens in government. Gov. Diri Assures On South South Campus Of NJI

 Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri, has said his administration will do its best to ensure the South South campus of the National Judicial Institute (NJI) is sited in the state. Governor Diri gave the assurance on Wednesday when the House of Representatives Committee on Judiciary led by Hon. Oluwole Oke paid a courtesy visit to Government House, Yenagoa. He said siting the NJI in Bayelsa will complement the campus of the Nigeria Law School in Yenagoa.  He promised members of the committee of his government’s support to achieve the reforms required of the justice system in the country, particularly as they carry out their oversight function in the state.  Diri called on his former colleagues to bring their wealth of experience to bear in addressing the challenges bedeviling the judiciary and tasked them to proffer solutions at the end of their tour.
