Gov. Fintiri Receives Delegation From National Defence College Abuja

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri on Friday received a delegation from the National Defence College, Abuja course 29 participants who are in the state for a study tour led by Brigadier General AE Edet. 

The governor who disclosed that he will soon sign into law the establishment of a peace and conflict resolution commission, urged the course 29 participants to help the state with relevant inputs on how best to make the commission effective. The bill has already been passed by the State House of Assembly.


The National Defence College is the apex military training institution for the Nigerian Armed Forces, and a Centre of Excellence for peace support operations training at the strategic level in West Africa. It was established in 1992 as the highest military institution for the training of senior military officers in Nigeria.

The contingent before departing the Government House, Yola presented souvenirs to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri commending the hospitality of the state to them.
