Brotherly Visit to Rivers State: Gov. Diri honours his brother Governor, inaugurates Mgbuoshimini-Nkpor Road in Port Harcourt

... Says Wike has simplified governance

His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri , Governor of Bayelsa State was earlier today in Port Harcourt, Rivers State as guest of his counterpart, Governor Nyesom Wike, to inaugurate the reconstructed Mgbuoshimini-Nkpor Road in Obio/Akpor Local  Government Area.

On the occasion, Governor Diri appreciated the people of Mgbuoshimini-Nkpor for coming out en masse to celebrate what government has done for them and also reiterated the need for brotherliness and friendship between the people of Bayelsa and Rivers States.

"Rivers State and Bayelsa State are one and the same, nobody can break the bond between Rivers and Bayelsa.  Gov Nyesom Ezenwo Wike - CON  has simplified governance in Nigeria, most of us who had lived in Port Harcourt before now, if we come into Port Harcourt now, we will loose our way because the Governor has turned Port Harcourt with his urban renewal policies to something different. Governor Wike has set a very high bar for governance in Rivers State.
Now, on this Mgbuoshimini-Nkpor road, I know the state of this road before, it was a earth road as I saw on the photos, why won't the people come out en masse to rejoice, and I told my brother Governor, you have left a legacy here in  Mgbuoshimini-Nkpor and your children will always benefit from it, my dear brother, you have set a standard here and you have redefined governance here and I wish you more successes" , Gov. Diri stated.

Making his remarks, host Governor, Barr.Nyesom Wike appreciated Governor Diri for honouring his invitation to commission the road project.

He also gave thumbs up to Governor Diri for the massive infrastructure in Bayelsa State within two years of his administration and urged him to continue as that is the campaign for second tenure.
