Ikpeazu Formally Opens ORIS CLUB, Aba

.... Assures Investors of a Good Investment Environment

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has described peace, security and socioeconomic stability as key enablers for sustainable socioeconomic development.

The Governor stated this today in Aba while performing the formal opening ceremony of ORIS CLUB at Brass Street by Okigwe Road.

Governor Ikpeazu stated that the deliberate strategy of his administration to make the pursuit of peace and security hallmarks of his administration's policy thrust has been yielding positive results.

The Governor added that he was deliberate about his choice of ensuring that the sociopolitical environment in the State will be stable and devoid of rancor because he understood the relationship between stability and development. According to the Governor, no business man can invest his money in an environment that is unstable and insecure.

He noted that the growing number of hotels and clubs are necessary ingredients of a growing economy and are clear signposts of investor confidence in the hospitality industry in the State.

The Governor congratulated the Proprietor of the Club, Owelle Greg Okafor, the President of the Aba Sports Club, for expanding his hospitality business two years after establishing the Ibiza Hotels at Okigwe Road, and thanked him for demonstrating that business success remains  possible in Aba and Abia State.

The Governor assured investors that his administration will continue to put in place polices that make the business environment attractive for them.

The Governor later cut the tape signaling the official opening of the Club and was later taken round the facilities at the club.

The Governor was accompanied to the event by his Chief of Staff, Chief Okey Ahiwe, Deputy Chief of Staff in the office of the Deputy Governor, Sir Don Ubani, former Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon Eric Acho Nwakanma and some other key officials of government while members of the Aba Business Community graced the occasion.
