PDP Governors Forum Celebrates Gov Ortom At 61

The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party Governors’ Forum (PDP-GF) and Governor of Sokoto State, HE Rt. Hon. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal CFR,  and all his colleague PDP Governors, heartily felicitate with His Excellency, Dr. Samuel Ortom, Governor of Benue State and your family on this special day, as you turn 61 years today.

We offer all thanks to the Almighty God for your life, His sustainable grace upon you,  His protection and divine guidance through life's journey and most importantly, your good health among other divine benefits.


You have been a  dependable member of our Party, PDP and the Forum. Indeed, not too long ago, you played a successful role as the 2021 National Convention Zoning Committee Deputy Chairman, and most recently in efforts to stabilise the pre-nomination process as the 2023 Presidential Zoning Committee Chairman.


You have consistently remained an advocate for peace and integrity for all  in Benue State. 


Your achievements in Benue State in various sectors - healthcare provision, education, road infrastructure, agriculture and agro-based processing, skill acquisition for youths, women empowerment, power development, water provision and security for lives and property, among others are outstanding.

We heartily join the people of Benue State both at home and abroad in prayers to the Almighty Father to grant you more wisdom and favour in the service to the nation even as  you achieve more developmental strides as Governor of Benue State.

Governor Mutfwang Receives Nigerian First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu's Generous Donation Of 500 Million Naira To Plateau Crisis Victims

Nigeria's First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has donated N500 million to families affected by violent attacks in Plateau States.  The N500 million will be disbursed under the Renewed Hope Initiative and Social Investment Programme, with One Million Naira allocated to each of the 500 affected families. Announcing the donation at the New Banquet Hall of the Government House, Little Rayfield, the First Lady said that government is concerned about their plight.  Senator Oluremi Tinubu expressed her deep concern for the victims, stating that the news of the deteriorating security situation in Mangu Local Government Area on May 15, 2023, had deeply saddened her.  She acknowledged the devastation and despair faced by the affected communities, with destroyed homes and disrupted sources of livelihood.
