Gov Emmanuel Applauds Smooth Conduct of PDP Ward Congress in State

Governor Udom Emmanuel has applauded the peaceful and smooth conduct of congresses for the emergence of Ward ad-hoc delegates across the state.

At the QIC Group School, Awa Iman, in Onna, Governor Emmanuel who is the leader of the party in the state,  joined other card-carrying members of the PDP in Awa Ward 1 for the exercise.



Governor Emmanuel commended the impressive turnout of party faithful and the brotherhood exhibited during the exercise.


He congratulated the three delegates who emerged winners at the Awa Ward 1 congress in Onna and other wards across the state and expressed hope that the delegates will represent their constituencies well in the upcoming party primaries.


The returning officer for Awa Ward 1, Obonganwan Abigail Akpan, from Ikot Ekpene Chapter of the PDP, thanked the Governor and leader of the party in the state for coming down to participate in the adhoc delegates election in the ward. 


She also thanked the party faithful in wards for maintaining a conducive atmosphere leading to a smooth conduct of the exercise.


To emerge winners at the Awa Ward 1 congress, Mercy Akaninyene scored 45 votes, Ubong Ekefre 52, while Nkanang Nkanang scored 36  votes out of the 133 votes, in the exercise conducted through open balloting.
