Governor Fintiri Congratulates Atiku Abubakar

Adamawa State Governor Rt. Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has sent a message of congratulations and best wishes to Nigeria's former Vice President Atiku Abubakar following his win in the recent primary election of the People's Democratic Party.

PDP over the weekend held its Special National Convention where Atiku emerged winner having polled 371 votes to defeat the Rivers State Governor Ezenwo Nyesom Wike who scored 237 votes.

Governor Fintiri termed the emphatic win in the election as a demonstration of the party's confidence in the leadership credentials of the former Vice President.

"PDP and the delegates have spoken loudly and clearly through their votes by picking a highly experienced, colorfully decorated and long-serving leader to become the next President of Nigeria.On behalf of the good People and the Government of Adamawa State, I congratulate our Son, PDP and all the supporters of the former Vice President for this emphatic win and wish him all the best as the party prepares to lead the campaign and bring Nigeria into a future of prosperity," the Governor said. 

Governor Fintiri said the former Vice President is a trusted politician whose contributions while serving as Vice President under  President Olusegun Obasanjo helped renew confidence in governance taking the country back to her days of glory and I  have no doubt in his capacity to restore unity, growth and prosperity to Nigeria in these troubling times."

Governor Fintiri applauded the bridge building spirit of Atiku Abubakar, stressing that "It helped in strengthening the strong ties that existed between Nigeria and other countries during their time. His win therefore presents an even bigger and better platform for Nigeria and other countries to collaborate more closely for the prosperity of our nation." 

The Governor wished Atiku Abubakar good health, a smooth transition and pledged his continued solidarity with the People's Democratic Party going forward.

While describing Atiku Abubakar as a trailblazer and role model whose win will help inspire and embolden millions of Nigerians to chase and achieve their dreams of greatness and success, he appealed to Nigerians to vote wisely to enable PDP fix the problems bedevilling Nigeria today.

Governor Mutfwang Receives Nigerian First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu's Generous Donation Of 500 Million Naira To Plateau Crisis Victims

Nigeria's First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has donated N500 million to families affected by violent attacks in Plateau States.  The N500 million will be disbursed under the Renewed Hope Initiative and Social Investment Programme, with One Million Naira allocated to each of the 500 affected families.
