Governor Fintiri Tasks 21 Council Chairmen On Security, Warns Politicians To Oppose Grill Upward Polity

 Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri on Wednesday 4th May 2023 received the 21 Local Government Council Chairmen on a Sallah homage in the Government House, Yola. 

The Governor tasked the Council Chairmen to be the Chief Security Officers of their respective Areas to amalgamate the progress made so far by the present Government raising the security and peaceful coexistence of their terrain. 

The Governor promised that the government would fight any culprit of such an act. Nevertheless, politicians should learn to play politics according to the game. 

 He applauded the Council Chairmen for their resourcefulness, doggedness, liveness, determination and work displayed so far in less than one month in office in carrying out their duties effectively and efficiently.   

The Governor Admonished the Chairmen to carry on with prayers for the peace, unity, and success of Adamawa State and appealed to the good people of the State to come together for the overall interest of Adamawa State, he added that Adamawa belongs to all citizens.


He stated that as the nation is gradually going into a political year, some aggrieved politicians plan to rekindle activities of the dreaded criminal act of the Shilla Boys for their self-centred gain in the State.  

The chairman of All Local Government Chairmen of Nigeria (ALGON), who doubled as Council Chairman Song LGA Alhaji Abdussalam Gidado, appreciated the Governor for providing security that ensured peaceful Eid-El-Fitr celebrations. 


He stated the mission of their visit was to felicitate with the Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri on the successful Sallah celebration in the State.  

He reassured the Governor about their loyalty and support while reiterating their commitment to compliment the efforts of the present administration by providing purposeful leadership to the people.
