Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed Says His Administration Has Renovated Over 200 PHCs, General Hospitals in the State

Bauchi State Government has reiterated its commitment to partner with UNICEF to address the challenges bedevilling the health sector in the state.

Governor Bala Mohammed gave tothe indication when he received a delegation from the UNICEF country office, at the council chamber of the Bauchi State Government House.

The UNICEF Chief Of The Field Office, Bauchi, Dr. Tushar Rane led the UNICEF Chief Of Advocacy, Country Office, Abuja, where they commended Governor Bala Mohammed, for executing developmental projects that have a direct bearing on the lives of the people, particularly in the areas of health.

He said UNICEF as an international organization, will continue to support the state, in the areas of water sanitation and hygiene, as well as immunization coverage, for sustainable growth and development.

Governor Bala Mohammed appreciated the donor agencies for augmenting his administration’s efforts to revamp the health sector, in line with the declaration of a state of emergency in the health sector, to further galvanize support, for its total overhaul.

The Governor said he will continue to pay counterpart funds to donor partners, thereby leveraging on the various interventions, to address the major challenges bedevilling the critical sectors of the economy.
